Welcome to Bay Area Fashionista! THE online resource for all fashionistas living, playing and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Bay Area is home to many fashionable industries born in Silicon Valley and our very own International Wine Country. In addition, the Bay Area is one of the most culturally diverse and politically complicated places in the United States. This unique mix gives the San Francisco Bay Area it's own sense of fashion and set of answers to the Paris, Milan and New York runways.

We are a lucky bunch here in Silicon Valley. The Bay Area does not suffer from a snow season and our summer's are mild and comfortable. This allows us to wear suede Manolo's all year long and carry our Lambskin Chanel handbags without the worry of a sudden rain storm. The ocean tells us in advance if rain will be coming in and the bay keeps our climate mild. We do not have to store our winter and summer wardrobes because they are almost the same! We have one drawer in our dresser with a handful of sweaters and most of our outfits can go from summer to winter with the addition of a jacket and a pair of fabulous boots.

The founders of Bay Area Fashionista® have diverse backgrounds in fashion, retail and of course high-tech! We have been through the dot-boom and the dot-bust. We drove on the real estate bubble and managed not to fall when it went pop! Of course we have done all of this while strutting in 4" Prada pumps.
